Last night Hornby Primary School had their production. Room 2's item started with Nidhi, Angus and Carl playing with a ball that one of the aliens (who was a main character) took off them. We then sang a respect song that we wrote with the help of Miss Weaver, Mrs Cassidy and Miss D, then we sang our Hikers Chant. Tamara, Anton, Lucas, Aiden and Genica led our chant and sounded amazing. We had actions with both songs which we made up to match the song words. Mrs Cassidy made WITS letters for Desiree, Stevie-Lee, Nini and Samantha to hold up during our song. Miss Weaver sewed and drew up the values Kete bags that Kiesha, Sharlisa, Hayden, Tyra, Jacob and Laura wore. We then helped Mrs Cassidy, Rachael, and Miss Weaver paint them. It took us a lots of time practicing and painting our props but we got there. We thought our item was super amazing! The people who came and watched had lots of great things to say about our performance! Miss Weaver is really proud of us all and can't wait to see the video!

Our world of shapes

Last week Room 2 reviewed our knowledge of shapes. We were learning to name and describe 2D and 3D shapes. Using the camera pods and our iPads we found different shapes around our school and then displayed our information using 'Strip Design' on the iPads.
